Nicolás Ignacio Castillo Mora (born 14 February 1993) is a Chilean professional footballer. He plays as a striker for Santiago City.

Nicolás Castillo's Football Journey
Nicolás Castillo grew up in Renca, a suburb of Santiago. He was a big fan of Universidad Católica as a child. When he was 12, he joined the club's youth teams.
Starting with Universidad Católica
Castillo first played for Universidad Católica in a cup game in 2010. He scored a goal, helping his team win 10–0. In 2011, he made his professional league debut. He scored his first league goal in 2012, helping his team win 2–0 against Rangers.
His great playing in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup made some big clubs notice him. There were talks about him possibly joining Premier League team Manchester United. However, this move did not happen.
Playing in Europe: Club Brugge and Loans
In January 2014, Castillo moved to Europe. He joined Belgian Pro League team Club Brugge. He scored in his very first game for Club Brugge, helping them win 3–1. He also scored a hat-trick in a 5–0 win against Westerlo in November 2014.
Later, he went on loan to other European clubs. In 2015, he played for 1. FSV Mainz 05 in Germany. He then joined Frosinone in Italy on another loan.
Returning to South America and Mexico
After his time in Europe, Castillo played for several clubs in Mexico and Brazil.
- In 2017, he joined Mexican club Pumas UNAM. He played there for one year.
- In 2018, he moved to Portugal to play for Benfica.
- In 2019, Castillo returned to Mexico and joined Club América.
- In 2021, he went on loan to Juventude in Brazil.
- In 2022, he played for Necaxa in Mexico.
- In 2024, he returned to his first club, Universidad Católica.
- In March 2025, Castillo signed with Santiago City in Chile.

Castillo has also played for his country, Chile.
Playing for Chile's Youth Team
He was part of the Chile U20 squad for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He was a top scorer for Chile in that tournament, scoring four goals.
Playing for Chile's Senior Team
Castillo made his first appearance for the Chile senior team in March 2013. This was during a World Cup qualification game against Peru.
In 2016, he was part of the Chilean team that won the 2016 Copa América. He played in the final match against Argentina, which Chile won in a penalty shootout. Castillo successfully scored his penalty kick.
