Nicole Berger (born Nicole Gouspeyre, 12 June 1934 – 13 April 1967) was a French actress. She was known for her roles in many films and later for her work on television.
Her Acting Career
Nicole Gouspeyre was born in Paris, France, on June 12, 1934. She started her acting journey in the theatre. She was part of a group called the Compagnie Barrault-Renaud.
Soon, she began acting in movies. Her first big chance came in 1954. Director Claude Autant-Lara gave her a main role in the film Le Blé en herbe. She continued to act in films until 1963. After a short break, she moved to television. She played the main character in a popular TV show called Cecilia.
A Sad Accident
Nicole Berger passed away on April 13, 1967. This was six days after she was in a car accident in Eure, France. Her passenger, singer Dany Dauberson, survived the accident. However, the accident deeply affected Dany Dauberson's health and singing career. Nicole Berger is buried in the Père-Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.
