What is Nido?
Nido offers different types of milk powder. These include instant dried whole milk. Some Nido products have added Vitamins A and D.
Nido Kinder 1+
One special type is Nido Kinder 1+. This is a non-fat powdered milk. It has extra nutrients added to it. Nido Kinder 1+ also contains something called Prebio 1. This is a special fiber that helps a child's digestive system work well.
Nestlé says that Nido products are not for babies under one year old. Even though there is no exact age limit after one year, Nido is often advertised for kids over three. Their slogan is "Nutritious Milk for Growing Kids."
What's Inside Nido?

Nido Kinder 1+ has nonfat milk and vegetable oils. It also contains sugar and honey. Important vitamins like B6, C, D3, and K are in it. Minerals like iron and zinc are also added.
Nido Dry Whole Milk from the Netherlands contains whole milk. It also has soy lecithin.
Where is Nido Sold?
Nido milk powder is sold in many places around the world. You can find it in Mexico and most parts of Asia. It is also available in the Middle East and most of Africa. Many countries in South America sell Nido too.
In some countries, Nido has a different name. For example, in Indonesia, it is called "Dancow." In Brazil, it is known as "Ninho." In other places, you might see it as "Nespray." Nido is also sold in the United Kingdom, Portugal, and some areas of the United States, like New York City.
It's interesting to know that in Spain, the name Nido is used for bird food. This bird food is also sold by Nestlé.
Important Information About Sugar
A group called Public Eye looked into Nestlé products. They found that some Nestlé milk powders had more added sugar in certain countries. These countries were often those with lower or medium incomes.
For example, in Indonesia, some products had up to 6 grams of added sugar per serving. But the same type of product sold in Switzerland had no added sugar. This shows that the amount of sugar can be different depending on where the product is sold. It is always good to check the nutrition labels on food products.
