Nido is a popular brand of milk powder made by Nestlé. It was first created in Switzerland in 1944. Nido products are designed to give important nutrients to children as they grow.

What is Nido?

Nido offers different types of milk powder. These usually contain whole milk, not skimmed milk. They are also made stronger with extra vitamins like A and D. This means they have more good stuff than regular milk.

Nido Products and Nutrients

Some Nido products are made even stronger, like Nido Fortificada. There's also Nido 1+, which is a non-fat version. Nido 1+ has special fibers called prebiotics. These are good for children who are past the baby stage.

Nestlé suggests that Nido products are not for babies under one year old. The company often markets Nido for children over three years old. Their slogan is "Nutritious Milk for Growing Kids."

What's Inside Nido?

Nido Fortificada contains whole milk, soy lecithin, and vitamins A, C, and D3. It also has iron and zinc.

Nido 1+ has nonfat milk, vegetable oils, sugar, and honey. It also contains prebiotics and many vitamins. These include vitamins B6, C, D3, K, A, and E.

Nido Dry Whole Milk (from the Netherlands) contains whole milk and soy lecithin.

Where is Nido Sold?

Nido is sold in many parts of the world. You can find it in Mexico, most of Asia (except Indonesia), the Middle East, and most of Africa. It is also available in most of South America, the UK, Portugal, and some parts of the United States, especially New York City.

In some places, like parts of Asia, the product is called "Nespray" instead of Nido. In Indonesia, it is known as "Dancow."

However, in Spain, the name Nido refers to a bird food. This bird food is sold by Nestlé Purina PetCare.
