Nik Lewis's Football Journey
Playing for the Calgary Stampeders
Nik Lewis started his professional football career with the Calgary Stampeders in 2004. He quickly became a star player. In his first year, he led the Stampeders in catches (72), receiving yards (1,045), and touchdowns (8). Because of his amazing performance, he was named the CFL Rookie of the Year.
In 2005, Lewis continued to shine, finishing second in the league with 1,379 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He had another strong year in 2006, earning a spot on the CFL Western Division All-Star team. He also had a career-long 85-yard catch in 2007.
Lewis played a big part in helping Calgary win the 96th Grey Cup championship in 2008. He had 87 catches for 1,109 yards and 10 touchdowns that season. In 2009, he reached 1,000 receiving yards again, even though he only scored one touchdown that year. By the end of 2009, he had caught a pass in every single game he had played, which was 105 games!
In 2011, Nik Lewis teamed up with fellow player Joffrey Reynolds to create an organization called www.calmb4storm.com. This group gave fans special chances to experience things they normally couldn't.

In 2014, Lewis had a smaller role on the team. His streak of consecutive games with a catch ended at 166 games. Despite a challenging season, he helped the Stampeders reach the 102nd Grey Cup. In that game, he made a key 13-yard catch that led to Calgary's first touchdown. The Stampeders won the Grey Cup 20–16 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, giving Lewis his second championship. After 11 seasons, Lewis left the Stampeders in 2015.
