Noah Lindsey Cyrus (born January 8, 2000) is an American singer and actress from a famous musical family. She is the youngest child of country star Billy Ray Cyrus and the younger sister of pop star Miley Cyrus.

As a child, Noah was an actress. She was the voice of the main character in the English version of the movie Ponyo (2008). She also had small roles in TV shows like Hannah Montana and Doc.

In 2016, she started her singing career. Her first single, "Make Me (Cry)," became a hit. Since then, she has released several EPs (short albums) and a full-length album called The Hardest Part (2022). For her work in music, she was nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy Award.

Early Life and Family

Noah Lindsey Cyrus was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 8, 2000. Her parents are producer and director Tish Cyrus and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

Noah grew up in a family of entertainers. Her siblings are Miley, Braison, Brandi, Trace, and Christopher. Most of them are also musicians. Her grandfather, Ron Cyrus, was a politician in Kentucky.

Career

Noah started her career at a very young age, working in both acting and music.

When she was only two years old, Noah appeared on her father's TV show, Doc. She later had small parts in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, which starred her sister Miley. She was also a background dancer in Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Her first major movie role was in 2009. She voiced the main character, Ponyo, in the English version of the Japanese animated film Ponyo. She also sang the English version of the movie's theme song.

In 2021, she had a guest role in an episode of the TV series American Horror Stories.

First Songs and EPs (2016–2018)

In 2016, Noah signed a record deal and released her first single, "Make Me (Cry)," featuring the singer Labrinth. The song was very popular. She followed it with more singles, including "Stay Together" and "I'm Stuck."

In 2017, she toured with Katy Perry as an opening act for the Witness: The Tour. That same year, Time magazine named her one of its 30 Most Influential Teens.

In 2018, she released her first EP, called Good Cry. An EP, or extended play, is like a mini-album with just a few songs. She also went on her first headlining tour, The Good Cry Tour.

The End of Everything and People Don't Change (2019–2021)

In 2019, Noah released the song "July". It became the first single from her second EP, The End of Everything, which came out in 2020. The EP was praised for its honest and emotional songs.

In 2021, she worked with songwriter PJ Harding on a joint EP called People Don't Change.

The Hardest Part and Recent Music (2022–Present)

Noah released her first full-length album, The Hardest Part, on September 16, 2022. The album included singles like "I Burned LA Down" and "Mr. Percocet."

In 2024, she released a duet called "How Far Will We Take It?" with country singer Orville Peck. She also co-wrote and was featured on the song "My Fault" with singer Shaboozey.

On July 11, 2025, Cyrus released her album I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME. It featured guest artists like Fleet Foxes and Blake Shelton and received great reviews.

Personal Life

Noah Cyrus has been open about her experiences with mental health. She has talked about having depression and anxiety. She has said that going to therapy helps her manage these challenges. Many of her songs are inspired by her personal feelings and struggles.

In June 2023, Noah announced her engagement to fashion designer Pinkus.

Helping Others

Animal Rights

Noah uses her fame to support causes she cares about. For her 13th birthday, she raised money to help ban horse-drawn carriages in New York City.

She has also worked with PETA, an animal rights organization. She appeared in ads to protest animal dissection in schools and to support a boycott of SeaWorld.

Charity Work

In 2019, after releasing her song "Lonely," Noah worked with the Crystal Campaign. She released a line of merchandise called The Lonely Collection. The money raised went to The Jed Foundation, a non-profit group that helps protect the emotional health of teens and young adults.
