Nobuyuki Kojima (小島 伸幸, Kojima Nobuyuki, born January 17, 1966) is a Japanese former professional footballer. He was a talented goalkeeper who played for the Japan national team.

Kojima played for several football clubs during his career. These included Bellmare Hiratsuka, Avispa Fukuoka, and Thespa Kusatsu. He also played four matches for the Japan national team and was part of the squad for the 1998 FIFA World Cup.

Playing for Clubs

Nobuyuki Kojima started playing football when he was in the 5th grade. He became a goalkeeper when he was in high school. After finishing university in 1988, Kojima joined a team called Fujita Industries. This team later became known as Bellmare Hiratsuka.

He became a regular player for Bellmare Hiratsuka in 1994. In January 1995, he officially became a professional footballer. Towards the end of 1998, Bellmare Hiratsuka had some money problems. Because of this, they let go of many of their main players, including Kojima.

Kojima then moved to another team called Avispa Fukuoka. In 2002, he moved again to Thespa Kusatsu. At this club, he was both a player and an assistant coach. He helped the team get promoted to higher leagues, like the Japan Football League and then the J2 League. His last game was on December 3, 2005, and he announced his retirement from football in January 2006.

Playing for Japan

In January 1995, Nobuyuki Kojima was chosen to play for the Japan national team. He was part of the squad for the 1995 King Fahd Cup, but he did not play in any games during that tournament.

He made his first appearance for Japan on June 6, 1995, in a match against Brazil during the Umbro Cup. He played a total of four games for Japan until 1996. Kojima was also part of the team for the 1996 AFC Asian Cup and the 1998 FIFA World Cup. In both of these big tournaments, he was a reserve goalkeeper, meaning he was ready to play if needed, but he did not get into any games.
