Where is Nogal?
Nogal is located in the southwestern part of Lincoln County. It sits in a valley next to Nogal Creek. This area is at the northern end of the Sierra Blanca mountains. New Mexico State Road 37 goes right through Nogal. This road connects Nogal to other nearby places.
If you go northwest about 12 miles (19 km), you'll reach Carrizozo. Carrizozo is the main town, or "county seat," for Lincoln County. If you travel south about 18 miles (29 km), you'll find Ruidoso. Ruidoso is the biggest community in the whole county.
