The Noire River (which means Black River in French) is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Rivière du Moulin. The Rivière du Moulin then joins the bigger Chaudière River. Finally, the Chaudière River flows north to empty into the huge St. Lawrence River.
The Noire River is found in the town of Saint-Alfred. This area is part of the Robert-Cliche Regional County Municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec.
Where the Noire River Flows
The Noire River starts where two small streams meet in a farming area. This spot is in the town of Saint-Alfred. It's about 3.7 kilometers east of the village of Saint-Victor. It's also 2.6 kilometers west of the center of Saint-Alfred.
From its start, the Noire River flows for about 4.1 kilometers.
- First, it goes northeast for 0.3 kilometers.
- Then, it continues northeast for 2.6 kilometers, crossing a road.
- Finally, it turns east for 1.2 kilometers until it reaches its end.
The Noire River joins the Rivière du Moulin on its west side. This meeting point is also in Saint-Alfred.
