Playing for the Kansas Jayhawks

From 1973 to 1976, Cook played college basketball. He joined the Kansas Jayhawks. In 1974, he was named the Big Eight Conference's Freshman of the Year. He averaged 11.4 points per game that season. Cook helped his team reach the NCAA Final Four. This is a big achievement in college basketball.
