North Tustin is a special kind of community in Orange County, California. It's called an "unincorporated community" and a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's not officially a city, but it's a recognized area.
In 2020, about 25,718 people lived here. This was a bit more than in 2010. North Tustin is the largest CDP and unincorporated community in Orange County. Before 2005, it was known as Tustin Foothills. It's located right next to the city of Tustin.

Exploring North Tustin's Location
North Tustin covers about 6.7 square miles (17.3 square kilometers) of land. It doesn't have any large bodies of water.
The community is surrounded by the city of Tustin on its south, east, and west sides. To the north, it borders the city of Orange.
Unique Neighborhoods of North Tustin
Within North Tustin, you'll find several distinct neighborhoods. These include Cowan Heights, East Tustin, Lemon Heights, North Tustin itself, Panorama Heights, and Red Hill.
Even though there isn't a local city government, a group called The Foothill Communities Association (FCA) helps out. This non-profit organization started in the 1960s. They work to keep the living environment nice in these communities. The FCA also speaks up for or against new building projects. They decide based on how these projects might affect the community.
