History of Norwich
Norwich was first planned out in 1827. It was named after Norwich in England. This was the hometown of one of the first people to settle there.
A post office has been open in Norwich since 1828. By 1833, the village had grown quite a bit. It had four stores, two churches, and two places to eat. Norwich officially became a village in 1833.
