Early Life and Education
Noureddine Bedoui was born on 22 December 1959 in a town called Aïn Taya, which is located in the Algiers province of Algeria. His family originally came from Ouargla.
In 1985, Noureddine Bedoui attended the National School of Administration (ENA). This is a special school in Algeria that trains people for important government jobs. After graduating, he worked as an auditor at the Court of Auditors. This means he helped check how the government's money was being spent to make sure everything was correct.
Later, he became a "wali," which is like a governor, for three different provinces in Algeria. These provinces were Sidi Bel-Abbès, Bordj-Bou-Arreridj, and Setif and Constantine.
Journey in Politics
Noureddine Bedoui's political career began with several important roles. From September 2013 to May 2015, he was the Minister of Training and Professional Education. This job involved overseeing education and training programs for people to learn new skills.
After that, in May 2015, he was appointed as the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities. This is a very important role, as it involves managing internal security, local governments, and public services across the country.
On 12 March 2019, Noureddine Bedoui was chosen to become the Prime Minister of Algeria. This happened after the previous Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, resigned. There were also large public protests that led to the former president, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, deciding not to run for president again.
His government was officially formed on 31 March 2019. Just two days later, on 2 April, President Abdelaziz Bouteflika resigned from his position. Noureddine Bedoui and his government continued to serve until he resigned as Prime Minister on 19 December 2019.
