Nuenen, Gerwen en Nederwetten is a special kind of local government area called a municipality in the Netherlands. It includes the main village of Nuenen and two smaller villages next to it. This area is located in the province of North Brabant. It's about 10 kilometers (6 miles) east of Eindhoven, which is one of the biggest cities in the Netherlands.
Nuenen used to be a small farming town with less than 1,000 people around 1950. But it grew a lot! Many new employees from big companies like Philips and the Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE) chose to live in Nuenen. This made the town much bigger and more lively.
