Early Life and Musical Roots
Odis Flores was born in Long Beach, California. His parents are from Belize. When he was growing up, O. T. Genasis was inspired by many different artists. Some of his musical heroes include Cutty Ranks, Buju Banton, T.I., Ludacris, 2Pac, Shabba Ranks, and 50 Cent. These artists helped shape his own music style.

O. T. Genasis started his music career in 2011. He first signed with G-Unit Records. In 2012, he released his first mixtape. After that, he joined Busta Rhymes's Conglomerate Records.

He released several singles, including "Touchdown (Remix)". Then came his big hit, "CoCo". This song became very popular, reaching number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
