Exploring O Incio
One of the most special places in O Incio is the Church of Hospital. This ancient church was built way back in the 12th century! It's a great example of Romanesque architecture, which was popular a long time ago. The church is made of grey marble and is very well preserved.
Ancient Roman Connections
Some of the decorations inside the Church of Hospital actually came from an even older place. They were taken from the ruins of a nearby Roman town called Lucus Augusti. Today, that town is known as Lugo. Imagine using pieces of an ancient Roman city to decorate a medieval church!
Nature Around the Church
The church is surrounded by a lovely forest filled with oak and chestnut trees. It sits in a narrow valley that faces west, making it a peaceful and scenic spot to visit.
