Oasis is a very small community in Elko County, Nevada, in the United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area defined by the government for counting people, but it's not an official city or town.

Oasis is located in eastern Elko County. You can find it where State Route 233 meets Interstate 80. It's about 31 miles (50 km) northwest of the Utah border. It's also about 77 miles (124 km) east of the city of Elko.

In 2008, about 34 people lived in Oasis. By 2020, the population was only four people.

About Oasis

Oasis is a community in a high desert area. It sits in the Goshute Valley. This valley is located between two mountain ranges: the Pequop Mountains and the Toano Range. The community is about 5,870 feet (1,790 meters) above sea level.

The name "Oasis" comes from the Oasis Ranch. E. C. Hardy owned this ranch in the late 1880s.

Oasis is also part of the larger Elko Micropolitan Statistical Area. This area includes Elko and its nearby communities.
