Obispo Santistevan (also called Santiesteban) is a province in Bolivia, a country in South America. It is one of fifteen provinces in the Santa Cruz department. You can find it in the western part of the department.

This province was created on December 2, 1941. It was named after a person called Obispo Santistevan (1843–1931). He was famous for helping to build the Santa Cruz Cathedral.

Where is Obispo Santistevan Located?

Obispo Santistevan Province is in the lowlands of Bolivia. It stretches for about 280 kilometers from the northwest to the southeast. It is up to 45 kilometers wide from west to east.

The Río Grande river forms the province's border to the east and northeast. Obispo Santistevan shares borders with several other provinces:

  • Ichilo Province to the northwest
  • Sara Province to the southwest
  • Ignacio Warnes Province to the southeast
  • Ñuflo de Chávez Province to the east
  • Guarayos Province to the northeast
