Ogden is a small city located in Riley County, Kansas, in the United States. It is situated close to Fort Riley, a large army base. The city lies between the bigger cities of Manhattan and Junction City.

Ogden was first settled around 1857. It was named after Major E. A. Ogden. He was an important leader in the Army Corps of Engineers. Major Ogden helped build the nearby Fort Riley.

Ogden officially became a city in 1870. This meant it could have its own local government.

Ogden is located in the state of Kansas. The United States Census Bureau reports that the city covers a total area of about 1.66 square miles (4.30 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. Only a small part, about 0.05 square miles (0.13 square kilometers), is water.
