Ogdensburg is found in Wisconsin. Its exact location is 44°27′8″N 89°1′59″W / 44.45222°N 89.03306°W. This means it is in the northern part of the United States.
The village covers a total area of about 1.01 square miles (2.62 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, about 0.96 square miles (2.49 square kilometers). A small part, about 0.05 square miles (0.13 square kilometers), is water.
A Look at Ogdensburg's Past
The village of Ogdensburg is in St. Lawrence Township. It was named after a person named Caleb Smith Ogden. He was one of the founders of the area.
Caleb Smith Ogden and his partners built a dam across St. Lawrence Creek. After the dam, they built a sawmill. They also built a grist mill. These mills helped the community grow.
