Olivia Vivian (born July 13, 1989) is an amazing Australian gymnast. She competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics! After the Olympics, she joined the Oregon State Beavers team. She competed for them in college gymnastics for four years. Olivia also competed in the World Championships in 2005, 2006, and 2014. She won a silver medal with her Australian team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. In 2020, Olivia spoke about challenges in the sport. She wanted to help make gymnastics better for everyone.

About Olivia's Life
Olivia Vivian was born in Perth, Australia. Her birthday is July 13, 1989. Her dad, Craig, was a plumber. Her mom, Gillian, works in real estate. Olivia started gymnastics when she was eight years old. Before that, she took ballet classes. Her first gym was Claremont P.C.Y.C. Her first coach was Julia Clapsis. Olivia's favorite gymnastics equipment was the uneven bars.
Sadly, her father passed away in 2013. Olivia now helps the Melanoma Institute. She does this to honor her dad. She also promotes Funky Monkey Bars. This encourages kids to play outside. Olivia loves to inspire others. She wants young girls to follow their dreams. She shares her journey on social media. She also hosts workshops at schools and sports clubs.
Early Gymnastics Career (2005–2008)
Olivia competed in the World Championships. She went in both 2005 and 2006. In 2005, she placed thirteenth on uneven bars. In 2006, she finished twelfth on uneven bars. Her team also placed sixth that year.
Competing in the 2008 Olympics
Olivia was chosen to represent Australia at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She competed on the uneven bars. Her score was 14.925 in the first round. This helped Australia qualify fifth for the team final. In the team final, Olivia scored 15.100. This helped Australia finish in a historic sixth place. It was a great achievement for the team!
College Gymnastics (2009–2012)
Olivia joined the Oregon State Beavers team. She competed in college gymnastics. In her first year, she mostly competed on uneven bars. This was because of some injuries.
She helped Oregon State win a big title in 2011. They won the PAC-10 Conference Championships. This was their first win since 1996! Olivia also became the PAC-10 Co-Champion on uneven bars. She finished sixth at the NCAA Championships. In her final year, 2012, she was the NCAA Regional Co-Champion on uneven bars.
Return to Elite Gymnastics (2012–2016)
Olivia made a comeback to elite gymnastics. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, she competed on all four events. Her team won a silver medal! Olivia had the fourth highest score on uneven bars. However, she could not compete in the finals for that event. This was due to a rule limiting two gymnasts per country.
She qualified eleventh for the all-around final. Her score was 50.765. This was the highest score for an Australian gymnast. In the all-around final, she finished fifth. Her score was 52.632. Olivia also competed at the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She helped her team finish seventh there.
Olivia Vivian retired from gymnastics in October 2016. After that, she joined Cirque Du Soleil.
TV Appearances
Ninja Warrior Challenges
In 2017, Olivia competed on Australian Ninja Warrior. She was in the very first season. She came back for season 2. She was the only woman to reach the Grand Final! In season 3, she made it to the Grand Final again. This made her the first woman to do so two years in a row. In 2020, she became the only female worldwide to reach the second stage of the Grand Final. She also competed for Western Australia in a special show. It was called Australian Ninja Warrior: State of Origin.
In 2019, Olivia joined Team Australia. They competed in a special U.S. show. It was called American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. The World. She returned for another USA vs. The World in 2020. She also appeared on Sasuke Vietnam. She was the first female to clear Stage Two in that competition!
Ninja World Championships
In September 2019, Olivia competed in Russia. It was the first World Obstacle Ninja World Championships. She won the Gold Medal in 4 minutes! Her fastest run was 3 minutes 15 seconds. This set a new women's World Record. It was for the 160m "speed" course. This course is used in shows like American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja. Olivia is now the Ninja Athlete Advisory Council Chair at World Obstacle.
The Celebrity Apprentice
In September 2020, Olivia was announced as a contestant. She joined the new season of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia in 2021.
