Oliver Stephen Millroy (born 21 April 1990) is a British professional racing driver. He is best known for competing in international sports car racing championships, such as the IMSA SportsCar Championship, the Asian Le Mans Series, and the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Over his career, Millroy has driven high-performance GT cars built by famous manufacturers like McLaren, Ferrari, BMW, and Porsche. Together with his long-time American racing partner Brendan Iribe and the Inception Racing team, he has won several major sports car championships across the world.

Early Life and Karting Career

Oliver "Ollie" Millroy was born in Windsor, Berkshire, England. Like many professional racing drivers, he discovered his love for motorsport at an early age. He began competing in kart racing when he was a young boy.
Karting is the foundational training ground for nearly all modern racing drivers. It teaches young competitors vital skills, including how to find the fastest racing line through a corner, how to manage tire grip, and how to safely overtake opponents at high speeds.
Between 2002 and 2007, Millroy competed in major British and international karting championships. He proved his speed by winning titles such as the prestigious British Super One Series in the ICA category and the South Garda Winter Cup in Italy in 2006. His strong performances in karting opened the door for him to step up to full-sized racing cars.
Single-Seater Racing Years
Formula BMW Campaigns
In 2008, Millroy transitioned from karts to single-seater formula cars by entering Formula BMW Europe. Single-seater cars (also called open-wheel cars) have only one seat in the center and wheels located outside the main bodywork.
During his rookie season, Millroy raced across famous European tracks like the Hockenheimring in Germany and Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom. He also gained international experience by participating in Formula BMW events in Asia and the Americas. At the Shanghai International Circuit in China, he scored an impressive victory in the Formula BMW Pacific series and later finished sixth in the global Formula BMW World Final.
Formula Renault 2.0 UK
In 2010 and 2011, Millroy competed in the highly competitive Formula Renault 2.0 UK Championship. This series was famous for preparing talented young drivers for higher levels of motorsport, including Formula One.
Driving for teams like Manor Competition, Millroy scored multiple podium finishes and claimed a race victory at the Snetterton Circuit in 2010. He finished sixth overall in the championship standings that year.

What is Endurance Racing?
After several years in single-seaters, Millroy decided to focus on sports car and endurance racing.
Unlike sprint races that last under an hour, endurance races last anywhere from three hours to a full 24 hours. Because these races are so long and physically demanding, teams use two to four drivers per car. Drivers take turns behind the wheel during pit stops, where the team also changes tires, refuels the car, and cleans the windshield.
Success in Europe and Asia
In 2012, Millroy joined the historic Scottish racing team Ecurie Ecosse to race a BMW Z4 GT3 in the Blancpain Endurance Series. In 2013, he moved with the team to the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), winning the season-opening 3 Hours of Silverstone and finishing third in the championship.
Between 2014 and 2018, Millroy spent much of his racing career in Asia. Driving for Team AAI in the Asian Le Mans Series, he scored numerous podiums and race wins across circuits in Japan, China, Malaysia, and Thailand, establishing himself as a reliable and fast endurance specialist.
Championship Success with Inception Racing
Partnering with Brendan Iribe
In 2020, Millroy formed a successful partnership with American driver Brendan Iribe and British racing team Optimum Motorsport, competing under the banner of Inception Racing. The duo entered the International GT Open driving a modern McLaren 720S GT3.
The Championship-Winning Seasons
The partnership yielded remarkable success over the following seasons:
- 2021: Millroy and Iribe won the International GT Open Pro-Am championship title after scoring three victories and twelve podium finishes.
- 2022: They had a historic season, capturing two major titles:

Racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Millroy reached a career milestone by entering the world's most famous endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France.
He made his Le Mans debut in 2021 behind the wheel of a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, completing 327 laps around the 13.6-kilometer Circuit de la Sarthe. He returned to compete at Le Mans in a Porsche in 2022 and again in a McLaren in 2024, where his team took the class pole position during qualifying.
IMSA SportsCar Championship in North America
Millroy also became a key driver for Inception Racing in the premier North American sports car series, the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
He competed in major American endurance classics, including the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the 6 Hours of The Glen. In 2025, after the team transitioned to racing the brand-new Ferrari 296 GT3, Millroy helped lead the team to a major GTD class victory at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
