Ontario is a small community in Wayne County, New York, United States. It is known as a hamlet, which is a type of small village. It is also a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is an area the government counts for population numbers.

The CDP includes the main hamlet and some land around it. It even extends into part of another small community called Ontario Center. The main offices for the larger Town of Ontario are located right here.
