Album Release and Formats
Os Dedinhos first came out on May 10, 1993. It was available as a long-playing vinyl record, a cassette tape, and a compact disc (CD). This meant many people could enjoy Eliana's new music.
How the Album Began
In 1991, Eliana started her journey as a TV presenter for kids on SBT. Her first show was called Festolândia, but it only lasted for three months.
Later that same year, SBT invited her to host another children's show, "Drawing Session." This is where the idea for her first big song, "Os Dedinhos," came to life! Eliana herself wrote the song. She explained that on the show, she was only seen from her waist up. This meant she needed to create dances that could be done while sitting down. So, she started using her fingers for the choreography. This simple idea became a huge hit! "Os Dedinhos" was one of the few children's songs played on radios across the country.
In 1993, another song from the album, "Amiga" (meaning "Friend"), became very popular. It was even used as the opening theme song for the TV show Muchachitas, which was also shown on SBT that year.
From "Drawing Session" to "Bom Dia & Companhia"
In 1993, the "Drawing Session" show ended. But a new show, Good Day & Company, started on August 2 of that year, also on SBT. This new show helped Eliana's album reach even more people all over Brazil.
Over time, Os Dedinhos was released on different platforms. Besides LPs and cassettes, it became available on CDs and later as digital downloads through the BMG label.
Popular Songs from the Album
Several songs from Os Dedinhos became very popular. "Era Uma Vez" (meaning "Once Upon a Time") and "Abracadabra" were two well-known tracks. Another successful song from the album was "Rebú no Pomar do Japonês."
