Osamu Yamaji (山路 修, Yamaji Osamu, August 31, 1929 –) was a Japanese football player. He played as a defender. Yamaji was also a member of the Japan national team.
Playing for Clubs
Osamu Yamaji was born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, on August 31, 1929. After finishing his studies at Waseda University, he joined a football team called Sumitomo Metal.
He also played for another team, Osaka SC. With Osaka SC, his team reached the final of the Emperor's Cup three times. They finished in second place in 1951, 1952, and 1953.
Playing for Japan
In March 1954, Osamu Yamaji was chosen to play for the Japan national football team. This was for the 1954 World Cup qualification matches.
He played his first game for Japan on March 7, 1954. This match was against the South Korea team.
