Otilino George Tenorio Bastidas (born February 1, 1980 – died May 7, 2005) was a talented football player from Ecuador. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the main attackers on the team, trying to score goals. People often called him 'Spiderman'. This was because he had a fun way of celebrating his goals. He would put a Spider-Man mask over his head!

Otilino Tenorio's Club Career
Otilino Tenorio was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He started playing football at a young age. When he was just eleven years old, he joined Emelec, a famous football club in Guayaquil.
Playing for Emelec
He grew up playing for Emelec and eventually became a professional player for the club. Otilino was known for being very good at scoring goals. His exciting mask celebration after scoring made him a favorite with fans.
Moving to New Teams
In 2004, Otilino moved to a club in Saudi Arabia called Al-Nassr. However, he found it hard to get used to playing there. So, he soon returned to Ecuador. He then joined El Nacional, a team from Quito.
Otilino's International Career
Otilino Tenorio was first chosen to play for the Ecuador national team in 2004. Sadly, he could not play any matches that year because of an injury.

Otilino Tenorio passed away in May 2005. He was in a car accident while traveling to Quevedo to visit his family. He was only twenty-five years old.
The Accident
The accident happened on the Santo Domingo-Quevedo road. His car collided with a gas truck. This sad event took place just three days after he played for Ecuador. That match was a friendly game against Paraguay in New York City, which Ecuador won 1–0.
A Special Tribute
During the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Otilino's former teammate, Iván Kaviedes, honored him. After scoring a goal in Ecuador's 3–0 win over Costa Rica, Iván put on a yellow 'Spiderman' mask. This was a special way to remember Otilino and his unique goal celebration.
