Ouse (/uːz/) is a small town in the Central Highlands area of Tasmania, Australia. It is located on the Lyell Highway. In 2016, Ouse had a population of 303 people.
History of Ouse
Ouse is a place with an interesting past. The Ouse Post Office first opened its doors on 1 October 1835.
In 2006, the Ouse District Hospital changed its role. It became a community health centre, which focuses on local health services for the area.

Students in Ouse attend the Ouse District School. This public school teaches children from Kindergarten all the way up to Grade 6.
