Out of Jimmy's Head (also known as OOJH) is a fun American TV show. It mixes real actors with animated cartoon characters. Cartoon Network said it was their first show of this kind. The series is based on a movie from 2006 called Re-Animated.
The show was made by Cartoon Network Studios and Brookwell McNamara Entertainment. This company also made popular shows like Even Stevens and That's So Raven. Out of Jimmy's Head was created by Tim McKeon and Adam Pava. They also wrote for shows like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
The series first aired on Cartoon Network on September 14, 2007. This was around the same time the Re-Animated movie came out on DVD. The show also aired in Canada on Teletoon and in Australia on Boomerang. The last episode in the U.S. was shown on May 29, 2008.
Years later, in 2018, one of the cartoon characters, Golly, made a quick appearance in another Cartoon Network show, OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes. Another character, Dolly, was seen in a special mural for the 20th anniversary of the network.

What is Out of Jimmy's Head About?
The story of the show continues from the movie. A 13-year-old boy named Jimmy Roberts has a brain transplant after an accident. His new brain came from a famous cartoonist. Because of this, Jimmy can now see and talk to the cartoon characters the cartoonist created!
This leads to many funny and strange situations for Jimmy. But there's also a problem: the cartoonist's son, Sonny Appleday, wants his father's brain back. Sonny plans to hurt Jimmy to get the brain. He hopes to become a famous cartoonist himself and maybe even take over the world!
