Carlos Jaime Alazraqui (born July 20, 1962) is a talented American actor. He is famous for his voice work in many popular cartoons. You might know his voice as Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life or Denzel Crocker from The Fairly OddParents. He was also the original voice of Spyro in the Spyro the Dragon video game.

Carlos Alazraqui also voiced the famous Taco Bell chihuahua in commercials. In live-action TV, he is well-known for playing Deputy James Garcia on the show Reno 911!. He has brought many characters to life with his unique voice.

Early Life and Education

Carlos Jaime Alazraqui was born in Yonkers, New York, on July 20, 1962. His parents were from Argentina. When he was young, his family moved to Concord, California.

Carlos went to Concord High School. Later, he attended California State University, Sacramento from 1982 to 1986. It was there that he started trying out stand-up comedy at open mic nights. After winning a competition in his fourth year, he used his prize money to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dream.

Live-Action Roles in TV and Film

Carlos Alazraqui is widely recognized for his role as Deputy James Garcia. He played this character for five seasons on the TV show Reno 911! from 2003 to 2008. He also appeared in the movie based on the show, Reno 911! Miami, in 2007.

In 2020, he returned as Deputy James Oswaldo Garcia for the seventh season of Reno 911!. He also appeared in the 2021 movie Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon. The show's eighth season, called Reno 911! Defunded, started in February 2022. In March 2022, he played Denzel Crocker again in The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder. This was a live-action show that continued the story of The Fairly OddParents.

He voiced Walden in Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! on Nick Jr. He also played Felipe, the bilingual screwdriver, and Abuelito, Manny's grandfather, on the Disney Channel show Handy Manny. Carlos also voiced Nestor in the Happy Feet movies. He has even voiced classic Hanna-Barbera characters like Baba Looey and Loopy De Loop.

Carlos Alazraqui lives in Los Angeles, California. He is married and has two daughters. One of his daughters, Rylee, is also a voice actor. She voices Rohk-Tahk in the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Prodigy.
