Rocko is the main character of the cartoon show Rocko's Modern Life and the comic books. Carlos Alazraqui is the voice actor for this wallaby character who acts like a human. Rocko's famous saying is "Day is a very dangerous day."

Meet Rocko: A Wallaby in O-Town

Rocko lives in a place called O-Town. He grew up in Australia and then moved to the United States after finishing high school. The show's creator, Joe Murray, said that Rocko first visited the U.S. on a family vacation when he was young. That's when he met his friend Filburt.

Rocko wears a blue shirt with purple triangles and orange shoes. He is a very loyal friend. He doesn't like to try new things much. When things go wrong, he often says, "_____ day is a very dangerous day."

Rocko has a family! In one episode, a photo shows him with his mom, dad, and a younger brother or sister. Later, it's shown that he has a younger sister.

Rocko likes to keep himself clean. But sometimes his home gets very messy! Some episodes show Rocko trying to clean up big messes. He also enjoys collecting comic books and loves rainbows.

Rocko's Personality

The Nickelodeon South East Asia website describes Rocko as "generally very polite and sometimes shy." But if he gets upset, he can become "determined and forceful."

Jean Prescott from The Sun Herald newspaper called Rocko a "pudgy little wallaby star." She said he always tries to "do what's right." He is also very devoted to his friend Heffer and his dog Spunky. Prescott thinks Rocko is a "lovable" character.

A reviewer named Andrea Graham described Rocko as someone who likes things very clean. She said he first thought his neighbors were "loud and messy." But over time, Rocko learned to accept their differences. He started to see the good things about them.

Rocko's Jobs

Rocko has had many different jobs in the TV show.

• He works as a cashier at a comic book shop called Kind of a Lot O' Comics.
• He was unemployed for a while in Static Cling.
• He also worked at Mega Lot-o Comics.

Rocko's neighbors are Ed and Bev Bighead. Ed and Rocko sometimes have a friendly competition. Bev, however, thinks Rocko is a very sweet neighbor. Rocko and his dog Spunky often annoy Ed because Spunky likes to eat Ed's salmon bushes. Rocko and the Bigheads live on "Boogie Blvd." Rocko's address is 1172 Boogie Blvd.

Rocko's best friends are:

• Heffer Wolfe: A steer who loves to eat. He was adopted and raised by a family of wolves.
• Filburt: A turtle who wears glasses and often feels sick or nervous.

Rocko's Love Life

Rocko has had crushes on different characters throughout the show.

• In Season One, he liked a character named Melba Toast. But he found out she had a serious boyfriend.
• In "S.W.A.K.", Rocko liked the mail-lady. He wrote her a love note but was too scared to send it. Heffer sent it for him! It turned out the mail-lady liked Rocko too.
• In "Wallaby on Wheels", Rocko learned to roller skate to impress a girl named Sheila. He saved Heffer's life and won Sheila over.
• In "I See London, I See France", Rocko tried to win over Claudette. She was his wallaby pen pal from Paris. But she was more interested in Heffer.

Rocko has appeared in several video games:

• He is the main character in Rocko's Modern Life: Spunky's Dangerous Day.
• He is also in the console version of Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots.
• He was an actor in Microsoft's Nickelodeon 3D Movie Maker.
• You can draw him in Drawn to Life and Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition.
• Rocko and Heffer made a quick appearance on a loading screen in Nicktoons MLB.
• Rocko and Heffer are playable characters in the game Super Brawl Universe.
