Nickelodeon is a popular TV channel in Asia. It is run by a company called ViacomCBS. The channel broadcasts from Singapore to many countries in Asia and parts of Oceania.
It started on July 16, 1996. Nickelodeon Asia shows many original series from the main Nickelodeon channel in the United States. It also airs shows from other companies. Most programs are in English.
This channel used to be available in South Korea, New Zealand, and the Philippines. But now, those areas have their own special Nickelodeon channels.

Indonesia Kids' Choice Awards
The Indonesia Kids' Choice Awards was the first Kids' Choice Awards show in Asia. It started in 2008 in Jakarta. Many Indonesian artists have hosted the show over the years. The award show's logo looks just like the US version, but it says "Nickelodeon Indonesia Kids' Choice Awards."
Philippines Kids' Choice Awards
The Philippines Kids' Choice Awards was the second Kids' Choice Awards show in Asia. It also started in 2008 in Pasay. Michael V. and other Filipino artists hosted the show. This event was important for Nickelodeon in Southeast Asia. It showed their goal to bring global kids' shows that also fit local tastes. The Philippines KCA has not been active for some years.

Nick Jr. is a channel made for preschool children. It replaced a special Nick Jr. block on the main Nickelodeon channel in Asia on July 1, 2011. The channel launched on May 18, 2011, in Singapore and Indonesia. Later in 2011, it expanded to other parts of Southeast Asia.
