Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots is an exciting video game that came out in 2007. It's known as SpongeBob to Nakamatachi: Toybot no Kougeki in Japan. In Europe and Australia, it's called SpongeBob and Friends: Attack of the Toybots. This game is a sequel to the popular Nicktoons Unite! (2005) and Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island (2006). You could play it on Wii, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation 2.

The game lets you play as many different characters from your favorite Nicktoons shows! There are twelve playable heroes in total. These include characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, Danny Phantom, The Fairly OddParents, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Invader Zim, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, and more. You'll even see characters from The Ren and Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life, Catscratch, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, and Tak and the Power of Juju.

How to Play: Game Features

In Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots, you get to control two Nicktoons in some parts of the game. This lets you switch between characters to use their special abilities. A really cool part of the game is piloting giant Mech suits! These powerful suits were created by the super-smart Jimmy Neutron.

Exploring Different Worlds

You'll travel through many famous Nicktoons locations. These include the underwater city of Bikini Bottom, the spooky Amity Park, and the magical Fairy World. You might also visit Pupununu Village and Retroville in the handheld versions. Console players can explore Calamitous' Lair. A big part of your adventure takes place inside the Toybot Factory, which has many different areas to explore.

Game Story: The Toybot Attack

The game begins with Professor Calamitous on a TV show called "The Biggest Genius." He reveals his evil plan: he wants to use fairies and ghost energy to power his army of "Toybots." He plans to feed fairies Krabby Patties to make a special magical gas. This gas, mixed with ghost energy, will be the perfect fuel for his robot army.

The Krabby Patty Mystery

The adventure truly starts with Patrick Star and SpongeBob SquarePants. They are delivering a huge truckload of Krabby Patties to a factory. But when they arrive, a robot sucks up all the Krabby Patties! Accidentally, Patrick gets sucked up too. SpongeBob bravely chases after the robot, finding his way into the strange factory.

Meeting New Friends

Inside the factory, SpongeBob finds Patrick, who is vacuum-packed like a toy. After freeing him, they meet Tak from the Pupununu People. Tak explains that he was also captured and "scanned." Soon, they find more Nicktoons who were also abducted and scanned. These include Timmy Turner, Jenny Wakeman (XJ-9), Rocko, GIR, Stimpy, and Jimmy Neutron.

They then meet Chad-Bot, who helps Professor Calamitous. The heroes ask Chad-Bot for help contacting Danny Phantom. Chad-Bot agrees, but only if they find more "master models" for his collection.

Fighting Back with Mech Suits

After collecting the master models, Jimmy contacts Danny Phantom. Danny explains that Calamitous's toy army has taken over his house. They are using the energy from the Ghost Zone to power their robots. Jimmy tells Danny and Sam to meet the other Nicktoons at the Evil Toy Co. outlet in Amity Park.

When they arrive, Amity Park is almost destroyed! But Jimmy has a surprise: he built awesome Mech-Suits! These suits will help them fight the giant Toybots. After defeating a huge evil toy shaped like Jimmy's head, they go back into the factory. There, they find even more master models.

Saving Fairy World

Chad-Bot warns them that "Saucer-Men" toys are capturing heroes. So, the Nicktoons continue through the factory, collecting the last master models. They also destroy the Saucer-Men toys. Next, the heroes head to Fairy World.

In Fairy World, they free Jorgen, who was frozen. Patrick accidentally bumps into him, and Jorgen is freed! Jorgen then destroys the fairy harvester, stopping Calamitous's plan to collect more fairies. The Nicktoons get back into their Mech-Suits and head to the Professor's lair. Jorgen even tells them to collect 500 fairies, which they do.

The Final Showdown

Finally, they reach the place where the game's intro began. It's the "Biggest Genius" show, and the winner is revealed to be Chad-Bot! He explains that Calamitous's plan to capture the best characters from every universe actually helped Chad-Bot win. Chad-Bot thanks SpongeBob, Danny, Patrick, Sam, Timmy, Jimmy, Jenny, Rocko, GIR, Stimpy, and Tak for his success. The game ends with Chad-Bot cutting off Calamitous's mustache as his prize for winning.
