A Look Back in Time
Oyster Bay Cove officially became a village in 1931. This means its residents gained the power to govern themselves.
On January 14, 1932, the people living there voted. They chose George T. Bowdoin to be their very first Mayor. The village also grew bigger in 1963 by adding more land.
