What's on the Menu at PDX Sliders?
PDX Sliders offers a variety of food options. Their main attraction is the sliders, which are smaller versions of burgers. You can also find full-size burgers made with chicken, pork, or vegetables.
Unique Sandwiches and Sides
The restaurant also serves fresh salads and "loaded fries." These fries come with different toppings. A fun fact is that many of their sandwiches are named after famous bridges and streets in Portland.
For example, the "Hawthorne" slider includes bacon, goat cheese, and strawberry preserves on a soft brioche bun. Another popular choice is the "Burlington," which features pecan-smoked pork. The "Sellwood" slider has a beef patty, cheddar cheese from Beecher's Handmade Cheese, bacon, sweet caramelized onions, lettuce, and a special sauce called aioli, all on a brioche bun.
The Story of PDX Sliders
PDX Sliders is owned by Ryan Rollins. He first started the business as a food cart in 2014. This means it was a mobile kitchen on wheels.
From Food Cart to Restaurant
The business grew quickly. On January 21, 2017, PDX Sliders opened its first permanent restaurant. This "brick and mortar" location is on Bybee Boulevard in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood of southeast Portland.
Expanding to New Locations
Later that year, in October, Ryan Rollins announced plans for a second restaurant. This new spot would be on Division Street in the Richmond neighborhood. It opened on December 8, 2017, and could seat about 45 people. In 2019, there were even talks about opening a third location!
