Paintersville is a small community in Sacramento County, California, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the larger county it's in.
Paintersville is located right next to the Sacramento River. This river is very important for California. The community is also along California State Route 160, which is a main road. It's just a short distance from another community called Courtland.
Paintersville got its name from a person named Levi Painter. He was the one who first planned out the land and divided it into lots back in 1879.
