History of Palestine Village
Palestine was first planned out by Samuel Loring in 1833. When a town is "platted," it means someone drew up the first map and divided the land into lots for buildings.
It has always been a small place. Its population changed over the years. For example, in 1910, 216 people lived there.

The census in 2010 counted 200 people living in Palestine. These people lived in 79 different homes, and 54 of these were families.
