Pallarenda is special because it's right next to the beach. The houses are only three streets deep, with lots of natural land around them. You can get there by driving along Cape Pallarenda Road from Rowes Bay. At the northern end, you'll find the beautiful Cape Pallarenda Conservation Park.
A Glimpse into Pallarenda's Past
Pallarenda became its official name on June 12, 1992. Before that, it was known as Cape Marlow. The name Pallarenda was likely given by a naval officer named George Poynter Heath in 1864. Some believe he got the name from James Morrill, a castaway who lived with local Aboriginal people.
