Panthro is a brave and strong character from the ThunderCats cartoon series. He is known for his amazing strength and strong will. Panthro uses special weapons called Nunchaku, which were given to him by Jaga.
Panthro is a very important member of the ThunderCats team. He works as a skilled mechanic, fixing things and building new gadgets. He is also a fierce warrior and sometimes gives advice to the young leader, Lion-O. Panthro is usually cheerful, but he can get angry quickly, especially with Snarf's jokes. He also has a big fear of bats and doesn't like spiders.
Panthro in the Original 1985 Series
In the very first ThunderCats TV show from 1985, Panthro is shown as an older and very wise member of the team. He is also their main mechanic. The character's voice was provided by Earle Hyman. Panthro's design is based on a panther, which is a type of big cat.
Panthro in the 2011 Series
The 2011 version of ThunderCats shows Panthro as a soldier from the Thunderian Army who went missing. In this series, he looks even bigger and more muscular than the other characters. Kevin Michael Richardson is the voice actor for Panthro in this show. An interesting fact about this version of Panthro is that he cannot swim.
Panthro in ThunderCats Roar
Panthro also appears in the more recent ThunderCats Roar cartoon, which started in 2020. This version of the show has a different, more comedic style.
