History of Parmelee
Parmelee was first started in 1916. Back then, it was called Cut Meat. This name came from a nearby creek.
Later, in 1921, the town's name was changed to Parmelee. This new name was chosen to honor Dave Parmelee, who was one of the first settlers in the area.
