Pasarel Island (which is ostrov Pasarel in Bulgarian) is a small island in Antarctica. It is part of the Aitcho group, which are found on the western side of the English Strait. This island is special because it is ice-free, meaning it doesn't have a permanent ice cap, unlike many places in Antarctica.
The island is quite small, measuring about 450 meters (that's about 1,476 feet) long and 260 meters (about 853 feet) wide. It is located near other islands: about 900 meters northwest of Barrientos Island, 1.35 kilometers northeast of Sierra Island, and 650 meters southeast of Emeline Island. In the early 1800s, people who hunted seals often visited this area.
Pasarel Island was named after a village called Dolni Pasarel in western Bulgaria.
