Great Patchogue Lake is a cool place to visit in Suffolk County, New York. It's located in Brookhaven, New York, just north of Montauk Highway. You can find it between Waverly Avenue on the west and North Ocean Avenue on the east.
This lake wasn't always just a natural spot. Long ago, a dam was built here to use the water's power for making textiles. Because of this, it was also known as Lace Mill Pond. Today, it's a calm lake that's home to many different kinds of fish.
