Patricia Quinn (born 28 May 1944) is a talented actress and singer from Northern Ireland. She is most famous for playing the character Magenta in the 1975 movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show. This film was based on a popular stage play, where she also played Magenta.
Patricia Quinn also appeared as Dr. Nation McKinley in the 1981 musical film Shock Treatment. Later, in 2012, she took on the role of Megan in the horror movie The Lords of Salem.

Early Life and Acting Start
Patricia Quinn was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her father, James Connolly Quinn, was a bookmaker, and her mother was Rebecca. Patricia went to Princess Gardens Grammar School. There, she quickly showed a natural talent for acting.
After performing at Belfast's Arts Theatre and with the British Drama League, she moved to London at age 17. In 1969, she trained at the Drama Centre London. By 1971, she spent six months performing in a repertory company with the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow.

Patricia Quinn is best known for her role as Magenta in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). In the movie's opening, you see her lips moving to the song "Science Fiction/Double Feature". The actual singing voice belongs to the film's writer and actor, Richard O'Brien.

In 2000, Patricia Quinn recorded a song called "Guts To Dream" with a band from London called The Grand. This song was meant to be on an EP (a short album), but the band broke up before it was released.
In 2002, she returned to the world of Doctor Who. She played an alien queen in an audio play called Bang-Bang-a-Boom!.

- That same month, she was the guest of honor at a concert celebrating 40 years of the original Rocky Horror Show stage play. This event was held at the Victoria Theatre in San Francisco, California. During this event, she sang "Science Fiction/Double Feature" again and met fans.
Personal Life
Patricia Quinn has one son from her first marriage to Don Hawkins. Her nephews are Jonny Quinn and Bradley Quinn.
In January 1995, Patricia married the actor Sir Robert Stephens. Sadly, he passed away in November of that same year. Because of this marriage, Patricia became the stepmother to Robert Stephens' two sons, Toby Stephens and Chris Larkin, who are also actors.
Patricia had worked with Robert Stephens before they were married. They appeared together in the 1984 BBC TV show The Box of Delights and played a married couple in the 1987 series Fortunes of War. Since Sir Robert Stephens had been knighted (given a special title by the Queen) before he died, Patricia Quinn gained the title of Lady Stephens.
