Patrick Scott (born January 24, 1921 – died February 14, 2014) was a famous Irish artist. He was born in Kilbrittain, a small town in County Cork, Ireland. Patrick Scott first showed his art in 1944. However, he originally studied to be an architect. He worked as an architect for 15 years before becoming a full-time artist in 1960. He even helped design Busáras, which is the main bus station in Dublin. He also designed the orange color scheme for Irish intercity trains.

Patrick Scott was most famous for his gold paintings. These were abstract artworks. They used geometric shapes made with real gold leaf. The gold shapes were placed against a light, soft background. Patrick Scott passed away on February 14, 2014. He was 93 years old. In January 2021, the Irish postal service, An Post, released a special stamp. This stamp featured one of Scott's artworks. It was released to celebrate 100 years since his birth.
