Where is Patriot?
Patriot is the town furthest to the east in all of Indiana! It sits right on the Ohio River.
The town covers a total area of about 0.32 square miles (0.84 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
A Look Back: Patriot's History
Patriot was first settled in 1812. It was originally called Troy. The town's post office has been open since 1827.
Patriot has faced some tough times in its history. In 1924, a big fire destroyed a large part of its downtown area. The town was also badly damaged by a major flood of the Ohio River in 1937.
