Paul L. McPherson (born July 3, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player. He was a talented shooting guard who played for several teams. Paul is 6 feet 4 inches tall. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for a short time.

Paul's Early Basketball Journey

Paul McPherson grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He went to South Shore High School. After high school, he continued playing basketball in college. He attended three different colleges. These were Tallahassee Community College, Kennedy-King College, and DePaul University.

Playing in the NBA

After college, Paul McPherson joined the Phoenix Suns. This was a big step for him. He played in the NBA during the 2000–01 NBA season. He played 33 games with the Suns. Later that season, he also played 22 games for the Golden State Warriors.

During his NBA career, Paul scored an average of 4.8 points per game. He also got about 1.4 rebounds per game. A rebound is when a player grabs the ball after a missed shot. His last NBA game was on April 18, 2001. He played for about 10 minutes in that game.

Life After the NBA

After his time in the NBA, Paul McPherson continued his basketball career. He played in minor leagues in America. He also played for teams in other countries. For example, he played in Italy, France, and Georgia.

Paul even spent some time with the famous Harlem Globetrotters. They are known for their amazing basketball tricks and entertainment. In 2004, Paul also competed in a street basketball event. It was called the Nike King of the World Battleground. He made it to the semifinal round.

Later in his career, Paul McPherson became a coach. He coached the Boys Basketball team at Englewood High School. He also worked as a security guard at the school.
