Paul Timman's Early Life
Paul Timman was born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1972. He spent most of his childhood there. In 1995, he graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art. He earned a degree in sculptured glass. Paul started tattooing after his friends encouraged him. He said it made sense because he was already an art student who loved tattoos.
Becoming a Tattoo Artist
Paul began tattooing from his apartment in Cleveland. Soon, he needed a bigger space. He then got a job at the Toledo Tattoo Company. This was the oldest tattoo studio in that area. In 1997, Timman moved to Los Angeles. He started working at Sunset Strip Tattoo in Hollywood. This is one of the most famous tattoo shops in the world.

While working at Sunset Strip Tattoo, Paul gained many famous clients. He created a tribal dragon tattoo for Angelina Jolie. He also tattooed a cross on Ben Affleck's arm.
