Pawcatuck (/ˈpɔːkə[unsupported input]k/ paw-KƏ-tuk) is a village and a special area called a census-designated place (CDP) in Stonington, Connecticut. It is part of New London County, Connecticut. In 2010, about 5,624 people lived there.
Pawcatuck is located right next to the Pawcatuck River. Across the river is Westerly, Rhode Island. The village has a historic area called the Mechanic Street Historic District. This district is famous for its history of shipbuilding, old mills, and homes where workers used to live.
