Paweł Zatorski, born on June 21, 1990, is a professional volleyball player from Poland. He plays as a libero, which is a special defensive position, for the team Asseco Resovia. He also plays for the Polish national team. Paweł has competed in three Olympic Games: Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024. He won a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He is also a two-time World Champion, winning in 2014 and 2018. In 2021, he won the Champions League with his former team, ZAKSA.

Paweł Zatorski's Volleyball Journey

Starting His Club Career

Paweł Zatorski began his volleyball journey at Skra Bełchatów. He played for the club's second team. During this time, he won two Polish Champion titles as a cadet and a junior.

In 2008, he joined AZS Częstochowa. This was his first time playing in Poland's top volleyball league, called PlusLiga.

Playing for PGE Skra Bełchatów

In 2010, Paweł returned to PGE Skra Bełchatów. He played there for four seasons. With Skra, he won several important medals. He earned a silver medal at the Club World Championship in 2010. He also won a bronze medal at the same championship in 2012.

Paweł helped Skra win a silver medal in the Champions League. He also won two Polish Cups in 2011 and 2012. Additionally, he celebrated two Polish Champion titles in 2011 and 2014.

Moving to ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle

On May 6, 2014, it was announced that Paweł signed with ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. He played for ZAKSA for the next two seasons. On April 26, 2016, he won his third Polish Champion title with ZAKSA. He extended his contract with ZAKSA until 2018.

Early Successes and World Championships

On July 8, 2012, Paweł Zatorski won a gold medal with the Polish national team. This was at the 2012 World League held in Sofia, Bulgaria.

On August 16, 2014, Paweł was chosen to play for Poland at the World Championship. This big event took place in Poland. On September 21, 2014, he helped his team win the title of World Champion.

After this amazing win, Paweł received a special award. On October 27, 2014, the Polish president gave him the Gold Cross of Merit. This award was for his great sports achievements and for promoting Poland around the world.

Defending the World Title

On September 30, 2018, Poland won its third World Champion title. They beat Brazil in the final match with a score of 3–0. This meant Poland successfully defended their title from 2014. Paweł Zatorski was recognized as the Best Libero of the tournament for his excellent defensive skills.

Olympic Medal in Paris

On August 10, 2024, Paweł Zatorski and the Polish national team achieved another big success. They won a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
