Paxton is a small town located in Walton County, Florida, in the United States. It is very close to the border with Alabama. Paxton is special because it has the highest elevation of any town in Florida.
This town is part of the Florida Panhandle, which is the northwestern part of Florida. It is also included in the larger area known as the Crestview–Fort Walton Beach–Destin Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2020, about 556 people lived in Paxton.
