Health Benefits Claimed
The founder, Bill Holloway, made big claims about Penta Water. He once said that the water "actually saved his life." He also claimed to have many stories from people who felt better after drinking it. These people had various health issues. They said the purified water helped them feel relief, for example, by reducing swelling.
Anti-Aging and DNA Claims
In an interview from 2004, Bill Holloway stated more claims. He said, "our water protects DNA." He also suggested it could help with an "anti-aging process." He even joked that it "may even be the fountain of youth.”
Skin Health Study Claims
In March 2008, Penta Water announced a new study. They said it was done by a skin doctor, Jean Krutmann, and a research group. This study supposedly showed something interesting. It claimed that human skin cells grown in Penta Water had less damage. This damage was from ultraviolet light, compared to cells grown in regular water. The company suggested this meant Penta Water might help with anti-aging. They also claimed it could have antioxidant effects. Penta Water also stated they asked UC Davis to continue this research. This new study would look into how well Penta Water hydrates and its antioxidant effects.
