Perchas 2 is a small area, also called a barrio, located in the town of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 988 people lived there. It's a part of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
History of Perchas 2
Puerto Rico used to be a territory of Spain. After the Spanish–American War in 1898, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This was part of a deal called the Treaty of Paris of 1898.
Because of this, Puerto Rico became a special kind of area of the United States. In 1899, the United States government counted all the people living in Puerto Rico. They found that Perchas 1 and Perchas 2 together had 1,429 people.
